The Yacht

Tide Head is a Schumacher designed Outbound 46 commissioned in Feb 2007.

Tide Head's crew has logged thousands of miles sailing the Mediterranean, crossing the Gulf of Mexico (before it was an oil-spilled lake) and making passages in the North Atlantic and crossing the Caribbean Sea.

The Crew

Susan - originally from Tide Head, NB, and Dirk - originally from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, will be joined by their son Dirk (photo below) who has sailed with them previously from Ft Lauderdale, FL to Newport, RI.

The crew is thrilled to be joining the pack on this adventurous and unique sail to Saint Pierre and are also looking forward to the tremendous vistas, fjords and anchoring holes of the Bras d'Or lakes on their return to Deep Cove.
