RHSP 2010 Halifax Itinerary of Events
Mandatory equipment inspections: ongoing. Under OSR (a yacht may be inspected any time)

Wednesday 7 July
Featuring "The Wingnuts" with Sam Moon and Rick Geautreu. There will also be a buffet dinner.
Everything starts at 1900 hrs!
Mandatory check-in at the RNSYS registration desk
The check-in times are:
Thursday, July 8, from 1400 to 1800
Friday, July 9, from 0900 to 1600
Check-in will take place in the Commodore’s Room, upstairs in the main RNSYS clubhouse and to your right.
Check-in requirements are:
1. Entry fee paid through the RNSYS administrative office (the office will inform us)
2. Credit Card bond placed with iBoat on their web site (iBoat will inform us)
3. Completion of yacht inspection (Inspections will inform us). Note that proof of first aid and survival training certification is required by the inspectors
4. For yachts competing in PHRF (including special competitions) the PHRF rating listed on the Nova Scotia Sailing Association web site
5. For yachts competing in IRC an IRC rating certificate valid for the duration of the race;
6. Skipper’s Declaration (Attachment A to the Notice of Race);
7. Crew List (Attachment B to the Notice of Race);
8. Entry form for military competition if so entering;
9. Entry form for the Founders competition if so entering;
10. Verbal confirmation that you will or will not be racing doublehanded.
In addition, we will collect the 3 Saint-Pierre Customs and Immigration forms
if you wish to speed entry into Saint-Pierre.
Sailor’s Breakfast
Sailor’s Breakfast will be available at the main RNSYS clubhouse 8, 9, and 10 July starting at 0800.
Victory Sails Ceilidh
Thursday July 8th there will be a competitor’s reception/party in the Spar Loft of RNSYS with a BBQ and bar service starting at 1800. At 1900. “Erik Koppernaes and the Victory Sails All-Stars” will take the stage and kick things off. Following this “Telfer” will take the stage and keep the party rolling until….
Competitor’s Luncheon
There will be a Competitor’s Luncheon held on board the HMCS Sackville, July 9, 2010 at 1200, for anyone interested in visiting a floating piece of Canada’s Naval history. The Sackville is alongside at the Halifax waterfront in front of the Maritime Museum. Please contact randy Stevens 902-430-2222 for more.
Skipper’s Brief
Competitors’ information meeting and weather briefing at RNSYS (Spar Shed) is Friday, July 9 starting at 1700.
In case of severe weather and race postponement, a subsequent Skipper’s Brief will be held at a date and time TBD.
There will be a BBQ and bar service available for this from 1630 on.
Race Start
The scheduled day for the RHSP start is Saturday July 10. The scheduled time of the first warning signal for the race start sequence is at 1155.
The race start will be viewable from the Halifax waterfront near the HMCS Sackville and the Maritime Museum.
Her Honour Mayann E Francis, the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, will be starting the race.
