On-shore Facilities and Accommodations
Prior to the race, visiting yachts can obtain a temporary berth or mooring at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. In Saint-Pierre, yachts will be accommodated at the YCSP.


A world-class yachting race, the Route Halifax Saint-Pierre has quickly become a favourite of racing aficionados from countries around the world including, Canada, France and the United States. And with about 30 boats expected to take part in 2010’s race it promises to be one of the foremost races in North American waters.


The race begins in the historical city of Halifax. Known for its architecture, music and people, Halifax has long been a favourite destination of seafarers from around the world. You’ll find quaint shops filled with goods by local artisans, world-class cuisine and a nightlife not to be missed.


The final stop is the island of Saint-Pierre. Once on shore, you’ll be immersed in the French culture. Arriving around July 13th or 14th, yachters will experience a taste of France in the middle of the Atlantic. Enjoy fresh baguettes and croissants, exquisite wines, and of course, evenings filled with music and dancing around the Music festival Les déferlantes and the «Café de la Route», a must for the 1st time!
